Yesterday's meeting looked at the Applied content of the New A level Specifications. A pair of useful documents from Jeff Trim (FMSP Central Coordinator) show where the Mechanics and Statistics content is to be found in the current A levels for each exam board, so that you can easily identify where you can find appropriate resources, and ensure you and your colleagues are ready to teach this material. Both are available to download below. FMSP will be running professional development courses and network meetings in this area over the next 18 months or so, to help bridge the gap.

Lucy Dasgupta (Henry Box) showed us some mechanics simulation resources and ideas.
Lesley Swarbrick (Wheatley Park) gave an example of how we can link the teaching of Core and Statistics with the Binomial Expansion and Binomial Distribution.
